Telecaster custom wiring

I'm working on a telecaster custom project and I'm wiring from the ground up. I've chosen to use 1meg pots for the wide range pickup and 250k for the bridge. I've wired exactly like the diagrams however, both volumes in the middle position work as a mast volume. Also my 250k volume when turned all the way to zero, fading then turns up to like a 10 volume. The only issue I would think is that this is coming from the switch. Its a fender part 005-3694-049 3 way L shape. Can anyone point me in the right direction why the volumes are not independent.

In the middle position your volumes are supposed to act kind of like a master volume.

Whats the issue with your 250k pot in more detail?

To make them independent, I believe you'd have to swap the pickup lead to the volume center lug and move the volume out to the switch over to the outside lug where the pickup lead was.

middle lug worked, I resoldered the ground on the 250k volume pot. other than a little too much ground buzz ( I need to find) its doing what it needs too.
