Hey everyone I'm new to this forum. i play an ash body telecaster and am thining about changing my pickups. i was wanting a single coil traditional tele pickup in the bridge say the antiquity I or II or 55. and something that would match well in the neck, possibly a mini-humbucker. i play anything from alt-rock to indie to classic rock and blues. my amp is a HiWatt 30 watt clone. looking for a nice chucky warm tone. any advice you could send my way would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Re: Telecaster Pickup advise

A SM-1 is warm and thick but still blends nicely with a traditional Tele lead pickup.

It might also be worth considering a 4-way switch. I have a SD Broadcaster in the bridge of mine, with a Fralin Blues Special in the neck. The 4-way gives my a lovely thick bucker-like tone, as well as the traditional Tele sounds, and allows me to cover a lot of ground.
