I must say Montey Jay's Tele looks better than mine though mine cost more.
:smack:

CIJ TL-50.

Toploader. I've opened up the pickguard and its routed S-S. I'll be wanting to have a mini hum in the neck pretty soon. :fingersx:

Looks sweet. I've always love the "Wine" color I think Fender calls that, or used to. When I first started looking at MIM strats several years ago, that was the color I wanted. They never seemed to have them with a maple board when I could buy....

Nice score....you gonna change all the pups? What else?

Now all you have to do is remove the bridge, fill the screw holes and put a vintage style bridge on it..lol

Its actually Candy Apple Red... I guess photos can fool us all a little... Side by side, a Wine Red is darker.

I'll play with it first... Then change pickups as I start to develop some taste for it. Same for the 3 saddle bridge.

Three saddle bridge can be like night and day. I did that swap with my old MexiTele along with the Broadcaster and Vintage pickups and it turned from a nice little guitar into a monster. The "chassis" on those Tele's are usually quite good, but Fender saves money by skimping on the hardware and especially the electronics.

The bridge on mine was somethingyou would expect to see on a late 60's Japanese cheese log.:laugh2:
