telecaster wiring

Hi all. First post on here. I'm building a telecaster (first project). Just bought an alnico II pro for the neck and a stl-3 quarter-pound for the bridge. My question is which wiring plan should I use? Being inexperienced I don't really know which is best (of those which are viable options for regular style pickups). Anyone have experience with this? Any tips on buying the electronics? This is the part of the build I am shakiest on, and I appreciate input. Thanks!

Hey welcome to the board! If this were my project I'd use the following:

Cts or alpha pots 375 volume 250 tone
Vintage wire (cloth pushback ) super easy to work with
Switchcraft jack with electrosocket
Orange drop cap probably a .047

The cap and pot values comes down to what your prefer tone wise. The 375 is a good medium for a single coil/humbucker mix. As for a diagram the support section on the main duncan site has wiring diagrams. I would go with the tele diagram for humbucker in the necK. I'm assuming here the Alnico ii is a bucker. If it's not the normal tele diagram would work. Also if it's not a bucker the pots would both be 250k

Thanks so much for your help! The alnico II is a single coil, so I guess I'm looking at 250k for each. any recomended vendors online for cts or alpha pots and/or "vintage" wire? Also not sure what you're talking about the the orange drop cap .047...is that the resistor?

Re: telecaster wiring

Are you asking about what kinds of parts to use or which schematic to use??

Parts...i'd use a pair of 250k pots, a .05 or .047 cap

Schematic, I'd wire it in the "Standard" set up which is a 3 way switch for neck - neck+bridge - bridge and a master volume and tone control.
