Telefunken Tube sharing

I have an idea. I came across a little cache of tubes, and it has some sweet diamond bottom Telefunken 12ax7's. They came from an analog computor system that was used for research back in the day. I'm thinking, why not pass one around for some of the regulars around here that haven't tried them to give them a whirl in their number one amp.

Rules are, I'll ship it to the first person, give it a week, then pass it along. These tubes are getting harder and harder to find, so I figured some people would like the chance to give them a try. Anyone on board?

I would, but I already know the difference; its like night and day, but your a good sport doing this- hope some guys get a chance to hear what they are missing.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping for. Some regulars that can't afford the crazy prices these things are catching these days.

Well, one on the list. I'd like to get more, and have it organized, and of course, where it is and when it's there. Maybe get at least 5?

Good idea.

I have three of them, so I know how they sound...very much more hi-fi sounding than most other brands.

Definitely interested to see how they sound in my Bassman, for both the bass or normal channel.

That's another, maybe get a few more, everyone sends me their addresses, and we'll make a nice, efficient loop, and get some test time over the next couple of months.

I've only been on here since 2010 and really haven't posted much, but I would like to participate for sure. However I completely understand if this is only for you folks with more time on board!

I'm on the fence. My Metaltronix would probably respond fairly well but then what would I do? Where the F would I find replacements once they move on to the next tester?

Well, they are out there, but the prices are getting insane.
