Eyeballing cabs - which means I'm going to be hitting you guys up for thoughts on speakers cause I only know a handful

First up - Rola Celestion G12-30

I've never played one but I was eyeballing a G12-30 loaded cabinet for sale a few years back. After doing some research the consensus is that they are nothing like a G12H-30. They were OEM speakers loaded in lower-end cabinets with small magnets and have little headroom (and not in the good way).

I want a 4x12 loaded diagonally with 2 Swamp Thangs and Two Texas Heats. If I were going Celestion, it'd be Vintage 30's paired with Lead 80's.

If they're anything like the G12L-35s used in the first generation of Valvestate cabinets, they're awful. G12H30s OTOH are one of my favorite speakers.

Cool, thanks. The cab is a great deal though - nice compact 2x12. I didn't realize it's like a 2 hour drive though. Gonna wait for something closer. But this info will come in handy.

Thanks dudes! After my amp failed and a rat chewed up $430 worth of AC repairs, this was good news. The rat shall pay.
