You really amaze me Rid! The SSL-1 are my favorite single coils. I tried many (thanks to my good buddy kjrocks) and this one stood out of the pack. But I never heard it sound THAT good.

Did you use any kind of noise gate to record this? I have a big problem with SC at home. My house was built in 1954 and it's not very well grounded, so many outlet makes single coils hum like hell.
