Testing a Zhangbucker bridge pickup

Strange story....

Dave Plummer of Zhangbucker sent me a pickup in the mail. I liked it so much...heck, I shot a video of it! (9.1k ohms resistance, Alnico 2 magnet.)

I'm using a Roland Cube 60 and yeah, it's a cheap guitar.

(Here's the link in case I can't do the embedding properly)

Zhang makes some great stuff. I am still in love with my Paul Bunyan set in my tele. Nice playing too.

Very cool, nice job. Looks like you're having fun and thats what is all about.

Re: Testing a Zhangbucker bridge pickup

Thanks for the responses, guys. I didn't have any specific idea of what I was going to play other than just trying to get a myriad of tones while hoping the video would be watcheable from start to finish. (And I'll admit that sometimes if I don't know exactly what I'm doing I won't address the camera enough.)

The pickup really is nice, though.

How do you like that Cube 60? Is it your main amp or more for practice? I've been thinking about getting a some Cube as a practice amp. I always start thinking Micro but work my way up thinking I may need bigger on occasion :)

I tend to use it as a "guest" amp,,,ie, for open jams or when I'm sitting in with a band. For practice I use a Street Cube, and for my regular band I bounce between 2 Marshall TSL's. (A TSL122 combo for outdoor stuff, and a TSL60 for the small clubs.)

It's a great amp though...very versatile.

Cool, sorry to side track your thread.I have some Zhang singles I love and have had a few others and they've all been great. I still need to try his buckers though.
