Testing Amp Simulators and Cab Simulators

Re: Testing Amp Simulators and Cab Simulators

Quite muffled and also quite boxy in the mids too. Also has a distant, hollow sound to it.
You definitely need to keep tweaking so that the tone fills more of the frequency spectrum more evenly and doesn't sound so boxy and muffled.
If there is any bass guitar in this mix, it's definitely not pumping enough, or there just isn't any at all, because the sub bass and mid bass is just not happening in this mix.
Also, work on that kick drum a bit. Scoop out the mids a bit more to give the mix more clarity

Re: Testing Amp Simulators and Cab Simulators

Put some bass in there.
When people say half the guitar tone is in the bass guitar, they are really not kidding at all.
The bass guitar is key to getting the maximum chunk out of a guitar tone in a recorded mix

Haha aw damn man, sucks.
If I had a bass, I'd play bass for this track but alas I had to give it back to my friend.
I'm sure there's someone on this forum willing to bass the track up for you

Re: Testing Amp Simulators and Cab Simulators

yeah, I have some friends who could loan me theirs... It sucks that there are no half decent bass simulators :p. But how do you like the track? :P
