Testing one of my mods...

Just using a handy track and that was Help the poor.
Tried a few things with the small crap BluesbreakerII pedal, not a sound I like much, so it is back to the soldergun and throwing new things in it:D
Used the Hiwatt as it is the least forgiving of my amps, and the guitar is my Tokai onehumbucker standart strat.....no the trad trem is not blocked;)
And I use it...hehe

Re: Testing one of my mods...

man, where are your other backing tracks? the heavy one? and most of the ones you had on yesterday?

Re: Testing one of my mods...

Hey Rid, I like that tone, pretty good actually. The distortion is pretty intense for a Blues pedal, is it the mods?

The board is calm these days. I didn't have much time to come around this week and I see there are few new clips... I'll have to give a shot at something. I rewired my two pickups (the switch of the Ibanez comes stock with the two stag coil of each pup in the middle position instead of both hums like standard Gibson wiring). Well now I have both hums on in the middle position... pretty cool sound from the Custom and the PG. I'll post something before the end of the week. People seems to snob the Custom because ceramic is not "vintage" enough... For me it's the best of both world between the darker CC and the duller C5.

Re: Testing one of my mods...

This is a prime example of why you have to be careful of what you put in front a high resolution head! :)
Can't wait to see how the mods progress!

I might throw a clip up tonight, with lots of finger-tapping; spark another debate!! :D

Re: Testing one of my mods...

Hehe nah it is gained up alot from the factory, lots of bottomend but the clarity is not there, plus it has no bandwidth and it is kinda small sounding,
it really needs to be fought to produce anything, you can hear that I play somewhat different than I use to do, and that is on a guitar I have had forever.
I changed the clipping diodes, added a few others after this clip, lol then it became all fuzzy and old...kinda liked it that way;)
But I will change it some more tommorow if I get the time, I am soldering Plexi's in the damm late summer heat we have here...August is a killer around here:smack:
Hehe TO yeah make sure that the taps are everywhere:D
Man these mods are fun, I also modded the Guv'nor with four Germanium diodes...warm and 70's sounding, not big and fat like modern pedals, old and very charming, very warm and earpleasing, will fool abit with the mids and I think it will be done!

Well, one guy is in "time out," and I'm assuming the other guy is busily cutting his own clip (cause I haven't seen him since :dunno: ) since you're obviously not worthy... so, you might be in the clear.

But just to be on the safe side, let's have no mistakes this time, and heaven forbid you might sound like Lynch, who it has now come to our attention has really crappy tone.

For the love of God... NO PINCH HARMONICS!! :laugh2: Unless you PM directly to me, since I am campaigning to be "SD Pinch Harmonicist-ologist"

Re: Testing one of my mods...

Thanks Marin, hehe but it is still kinda smallsounding next to what I am used to, but it works, hope to get some more done to it next week.
Have a few spicy ingridients to try out;)
