Texas Special markings

I just got a Texas Special neck pickup from eBay. I won't be able to install it until next week-end.

Other than a multimeter or hearing it, is there anyway to identify the pu? For example, this one has no markings at all and the wires are black and white. I have no reason to question the authenticity of the pu - I've ordered from the Stratosphere before and they have 20000 positive feedback. Thanks.

Black fiber bobbins, staggered magnets with no bevels and the wound wire is enamel with a purple color are the visual clues for Texas Specials.

Thanks Slightly Rude. The wound wire has a purple-ish color ... I didn't know that.
