Thanks to all the posters here and the seymour duncan wiring schematics I have finished rebuilding my first guitar. It's a Cort LP copy from the late 70's early 80's that my dad bought for me when I was 13 (i'm now 32 yikes). For years it had been gathering dust and was even hung on a wall for ornamental purposes for a while. After adding a new bridge and tail, vintage grover tuners to replace the original cheapo strip tuners that never held a tune (i'm anal about that), new pots, switches, input, and adding a SD pearly gates to the neck, and Duncan Distortion to the bridge, I have turned a slab of plywood from the childhood into my new favorite axe. The duncan pups add so much tone that I can't put it down. I've also recently added a vintage Morley Wah, Fuzz, Volume, and now through my Tech21 60 amp I can get any sound I want and I can finally throw away my Zoom505II pedal (don't bother with these as they are garbage). Thanks to everyone here I now play several hours a day and look forward to getting my groove back. It's great to have a guitar that sounds how you want and has so much sentimental value. The posts and info on SD site gave me the confidence to chase the sound I've wanted and get rid of bad digital effects that never quite give you that raw sound. Less is more and now I understand. The problem is now that's its a complete project I want a new one (maybe adding push/pull pots or multi-way switching or maybe i'll just retool my Yamaha Pacifica 512).
