The 78 Neck... in the Bridge? (this is not a question :P)

i have no words for it... but as soon as i was done with my strat i tuned it and didnt plug it in until it was fully ready and i juiced up the amp and pluged it and i went :eek2:

it is a bit unexpected as i was going to install a custom in the bridge wich i know wounds awsome in my strat.. i decided to grab the 78 neck instead just for the heck of it and try it out before puting the custom first... never expected this thing to sound like it does and im loving every single noise that comes out of it so far :headbang:

just hadda share it with someone and cant wait to try it in my amp cranked up cuz right now i cant or the neighbors might not like these noises as much as i at 12am lol

for those interested.. its Ash strat, no idea if its swamp or hard but its not light its rather heavy so it might be hard, the pickup is long leged so i screwed it straight into the body and tapered a shim to make it fit the way i wanted in it.. i might try to change the angle and height a bit but so far everything seems great, its got that aggresive edge i like to have from a humbucker tho the only thing i might find bad to say about it is that it seems to sound maybe a bit to bright but ive only just installed is so i stil gotta play arround with it more, wonder if the "real" bridge model might fix some of that.. maybe im missing something for having a weaker 78.. it dont sound so weak in my strat tho!
