One of the most successful pedals used for single coils is a TS808 or a TS9

You blew my mind. I always thought it would be too thin and bright, since it seems to thin out my humbuckers, so I never tried it til this morning (well, a mock TS with the "special" chip). Sounded super full and had a nice crunch on the low e, very nice indeed! Kinda the sound I was looking for as of late. Thanks

Surprised no one has suggested a Fuzz Face or 'face clone. Thickens up single-coil sounds all day and all night and all the next day.

I just recently discovered the magic of a RAT (my Freakshow FX The Rabbit - Rat clone) with a strat. Lawd!

'56 NOS Strat (Antiquity Surfers n&m and Texas Hot Custom b) setup with 13s and floating bridge > RAT clone > Line 6 Verbzilla > Tweed Twin-Amp with channels jumped. Incredible sound! Super thick, punchy, great sustain, chunky rhythms, smooth leads. It's everything one could want from a distorted strat sound. Highly recommended! :approve:
