The best distortion pedal?

Re: The best distortion pedal?

The Morpheus sounds pretty tight. Now will the distortion from the pedal stack with the distortion from the amp? Also how much did the Morpheus cost you?

the ONLY thing DigiTech ever did good was the WH-1 wammy pedal...

Typically, I'd agree with you here, but the Metal Master (and all the other X-series, or whatever they are) is badass.

I'll plug the MT-2 Metal Zone, as well. Get a used one for next to nothing, and have fun all day with the mid controls :)

Morpheous all the way speccially for what your playing and its quality made in NZ.

Re: The best distortion pedal?

I havent had ANY problems with my Doubleshot, and I've stomped on it for the last year. It does it;s job well, but it is too heavy for me. I need less gain, which is why my Digitech Metal Master is collecting dust! Currently I own a Duoverb, but I have connected my pedalboard to many tube amps and the Doubleshot REALLy spanks on tube amps.

I have been thoroughly disappointed by Digitech as well. I had one of the Rp whatevers and it took a crap almost EXACTLY when the warranty expired. NOt that the sounds were that good anyway, but it was useful for all the effects! Now that collects dust to, but as a paperweight.

For the tones I am searching, I think I will get the Keeley DS-1 Ultra mod for high gain, and the Keeley Ts808 or TS-9 ModPlus. Not sure which yet.
