if you ever get a chance to see Junior live DO IT!!! one caveat: you'll likely come home after the show, put all your guitars and amps on eBay, and take up crossword puzzles.

Tommy always looks like someone who is gets the absolute most joy out of playing. I'd love to see him live. Joe Satriani has always struck me like that as well.

Re: the best guitarist in the US of A

I don't know what constitutes best because of the different styles and all,but Joe Satriani rates number 1 on my list as far as pretty much being able to do it all on guitar..

Some folks think speed and practiced technique is what makes a great player.I'm more into feel and the emotion of the right notes over too many notes and self masturbation on the guitar...

Emmanuel is Aussie, not American, but I would probably put him ahead of anyone mentioned so far, just a blast to watch and listen to.

Re: the best guitarist in the US of A

I would go with Satch too. But I would put the guy from Limp Bizkit right behind him. Derek Trucks, PA-lease, he will never be able to play "I did it for the Nookie" are you kidding me?

Re: the best guitarist in the US of A

that was cool :bigok: he can realy grove and make that uhh 2 neck tele/something sound good

I think Paul Gilbert is amazing. Steve Vai...I simply admire his dedication and ability to master an instrument.
