The best?

Im trying to decide what to outfit my es 335 guitar with. I play mostly ska, indie, alternative and rock. So far the two pickups that have caught my eye are the antiquity humbucker and seth lover. Could anyone tell me the difference between these two pickups other than appearance? Is one better than the other? Also will either of these suit my musical style.

Hello Karith,
I'm kind of in the same situation you are. I have a 335 copy i'm looking to put new pup's in.
Plenty has been said on this forum as a quick use of the Search function will show.
Some of the more popular suggestions are
Seth's
ANts
and APH2's
If you were mainly SKA I would suggest the Seth's, but with the addition of the Indie and Alt Rock they might not be hot enough for you.
Maybe a APH2 Neck and CC Bridge might work out well.
As for myself I'm leaning towards a set of APH2's as I want my axe to be as warm and gooey as possible.

Would the seth's not be able to stand a little bit of a harder sound? Im not talking metal here but i like to play with a little cutting distortion sometimes.
I mostly play clean with a little distortion coming through.

They should be fine for rock, I've just heard they squeal pretty badly under severe high gain.

Ok thanks for the info. So do you think a pair of seth's in a es 335 will preform good for ska, alternative type stuff? Vintage tone as well as a little new sound added there?

SKA = YES
Vintage = UH HELLO!!!
Alternative = Depends on how heavy we're talking.
Remember your amp will have a huge impact on overall tone achievement as well.
