Guitarport uses POD XT models, but is a very stripped down tool to begin with. It has only got like 11 or something amps, far fewer cabs/effects etc.. you can upgrade through the website to make it have all the models of the XT however
The POD XT has the advantage of being a backup rig if your amp blows out at a gig I guess.. that's one major plus.
