The "blue water" custom deans finally done! NGD almost!

A while back a few of us on the Dean forum put our 2 cents worth into a custom limited run. A blue water V guitar...aka the naked blue water v...aka the naked lady v...etc.
This was a custom run of 19 guitars thru Todd @ the music farm. Great guys over there.
So after what seemed like forever....and a day...ha ha. They're finally done!
Will be shipped in a few days to those of us that have it paid in full.

Here are the specs:
V body style
V neck 22 frets
Trans Blue quilt veneer w/ matching HS
Single white binding on HS/neck/body
Ebony board with no markers and jumbo frets
blue side dots
White Dean logo
Natural Mahogany colored back
Chrome hardware:
Grover tuners, bridge and posts, switch, and jack plate
Tune o matic string thru with ferrules in a V formation instead of the V plate
DMT Time capsule bridge / Nostalgia neck pickups in zebra with black rings
black speed knobs


Can't wait to get it in my hands! ! !

Nice I wish I could of got my Razor Back in that finish sweet and its neck through should be very comfortable. How much were they?

Nice I wish I could of got my Razor Back in that finish sweet and its neck through should be very comfortable. How much were they?

$699 with a hard case.

I think there are 4 left unclaimed at the moment but I may be wrong.

Its got the Dean V shaped neck... Like the bumblebee , the rebel, and a lot of the high end Dean models. I had it on a green bumblebee razorback and it is different than any other neck I've ever played, but i do like it.

Hmm. makes it so hard to go with a description. I had a 79 V and it had a super fast comfy neck. My Bella noir (2009 limited run) had a thin comfy neck.. but I dont know if those are the "v" neck.. This axe is gorgeous tho! cant wait for your review!

its not quite as wild as the hard v pictured here. But I'm no guru on neck contours either.... maybe someone like BTMN can chime in here?

The Dean 79 series mostly came with what they called an "Ultra fast shallow D profile"

cool guitar with a cool back story. I could get my schenker on with that bad boy. I do like dots on the board though. Can't have me wondering around lost like little red riding hood.

That should cook!! My soltero had the Mountain of tone pup and Nostalgia maybe? I always thought about changing them, but it always sounded good when plugged up, so I put it off..

Hey man - In a week I'm playing in a band called the "DV's" as in Dean V's...

Call the factory, tell them to hold on that one. I'll go pick it up for you personally, play it at a couple gigs, post some YouTubes, break it in and let you know how it is.

Because like, forum bro's do that kind of thing for each other. I'll take the chance that it is a dog for YOU, live on stage. I care man.

If it's not good, I'll take it back and make sure they get it right.
