Yep, the Grace Potter sig. Flying V is the coolest freakin' V... you gotta love that finish!

Re: the coolest flying V ever

^ that's what we're all thinking.

this guitar is a prototype, but if it works, it works

Is it racist if I read this "this guitar is a prototype, but if it WOKS it WOKS"?

Re: the coolest flying V ever

I'm a HUGE fan of V's and have my own collection of extreme "V" designs sketched out, but I really don't like the one in that video at all. I mean, I love that the Japanese are constantly pushing design limits, seeking to do new things with old technology and often end up redefining our concepts of what's acceptable, especially with their modern focus on guitar design, but the ultimate byproduct of all that searching and limit pushing is that 99% of what comes out the other end is simply unacceptable...like that particular V! ;)

I thought it was pretty cool.
Both of them.
Guy plays better than me.

Re: the coolest flying V ever

Nice sampling of Syu's playing.

On another note I bet the band's keyboard player is a fan of Greg Guffria. :headbang:

Re: the coolest flying V ever

Flying Vee, huh? Being the age that I am, my first thoughts are Albert King and Lonnie Mack.

Re: the coolest flying V ever

I think it's cool.

I am building a guitar right now that has a stealth P90 under the pickguard.

I plan to experiment with guitars that have the pickups mounted from the rear, with only holes the size of the pole pieces drilled in the top of the guitar.

Modern pickups have such strong magnets that you can magnetize the string and induce its signal into the pickup's coil easily - without being right up on the strings.

Why am I experimenting with this? Because I think it's neat-o, I haven't seen it done before, and worst case scenario, I'll end up with a cool, weird guitar.
