The diagnosis is back about my blown JTM60 combo

Re: The diagnosis is back about my blown JTM60 combo

im telling you,

there were a few times that my JTM60 sounded great but it was only a few times. that is why i didnt get rid of it for the longest time.

but everytime i turned it one it was like uh oh, now what is gonna happen??

i would need new solder joints all the time cause the amp overheats.
it is a pitty that marshall did such a piss poor job with the constuction of this amp, because when it is in top shape it sounds darn good.
sounded way better than the new TSL crap.
man i played one of those the other day and i swear the AVT sounded way better. the tsl was just coooooold sounding.

anyway i hope your JTM gets fixed well and operates good. if your tech can install a real good OT than go for it. it will make the sound way better.

a friend of mine had a JTM30 and nothing was wrong with that amp. but for me everytime i see a JTM it is like 'Run Away!' ( Monty Python)

good luck!

oh a second note. i found that 6L6's sound waaaay better in that amp. try it!
