The difference a good cab can make (new cab day).

All I can say is wow, just wow. My cab finally came in last night, got a chance to demo it. It's almost as if I pulled off a wool blanket that was coveribg my amp. Last night was the first time I got to hear what my Stiletto should sound like. I've had the amp since October.

After I got the amp, I picked up a Tech 21 2x12 cab via trade until I could afford a Mesa Cab. The Tech 2w had Jet City rebranded Eminence Legends speakers. They were front loaded as well. Not a bad cab by any means, it just didn't allow my amp to shine.

The Mesa widebody 1x12, although smaller and more compact than a normal 1x12 (half open back vs closed back of tech 21) actually sounds bigger, fuller, beefier and articulate.

I think I just went to tonal bliss.

Nice! Mesa builds great cabs. I love the Stiletto Ace and want one in my collection.

Ah, the mighty Thiele. Mine has the EVM12L, and the biggest sound I've ever heard from any 1x12. I'm sure the Black Shadow would kill, too. Awesome design!

not going lie, wish mine came with an evm12l. that speaker is amazing. c90 black shadow is still phenomenal in its own right.

awesome, congrats!! Amazing what a diff a cab can make.. cool how the 1x12 is impressing you that much! makes a nice tidy rig. I know Avatars are good cabs and was playing thru my Avatar 2x12, but going thru the Splawn 4x12 is SO REMARKABLY better!!

I think it's a standard wide-body open-back.
The thiele has the speaker more towards one side instead of right in the center,,and the grill screws are also choked over on one side IIRC.

Not better or worse, just different. Depends on the sound you're after like always. This one is much better for sparkly cleans IMO.
For tight thumpy metal I'd take a thiele w/EV over any 112 on the market 4sure.

Being thay the head is a stiletto ace, which for lack of a better description "marshall like" the open back definetly helps the cleans and opens up the dirt channel. Won't be able to pull off those brutz but that isnt the purpose of the stiletto.

I think the biggest transformation was going from front loaded to more common rear loaded.
