The door into fantastic.....

Re: The door into fantastic.....

That's one fine tone, Niels! Did you use the rock bug(ger) here as well? Which pup is used?

Really...nice track, mind sharing the "backer"? I want to give it a try, too.

Re: The door into fantastic.....

That bass line reminds me of a Prodigy line from Fat Of The Land. Sounds great for direct recording, cool stuff again Rid. May have to look into that Bug.

Re: The door into fantastic.....

Thanks again for the backing, Niels!

Here's my first take on it Liiiiink

Used the guitar sim in Logic 8, some tweaks and very few gain. Ibanez RG btw

Wow ,that's amazing clip Niels! Very cool!
And Adrian's take is awesome too! The very first vibrato note is crazy! Totally spacy!

Re: The door into fantastic.....

At first I thought I was listening to the soundtrack for "Gadget", then it sounded like I was at one of those transe clubs. Fun tune. That reverb has a great wet sound and you chops flow nicely. It sounds a bit tricky to play to.

Hey Rid, that was very cool.

I listened yesterday and i really like the music. I always wanted to play guitar to a trance groove. Never tried it, but I'd love to. Man, there may actually be a market in that stuff. I currently do not hear any instrumental prog rock that happens over beats like trance or house. Everything is possible :) Hip hop and metal have already mixed. But I think trance and rock should definitely mix together. Trance is so energetic and driving of a force. If we add the sophistication of harmony, satriani-like moods and good guitar playing to it, it might really become something groundbreaking. I've been thinking about it.

Actually, the tight driving beats of smooth jazz and improvisation nature, is what makes me like smooth jazz and upbeat smooth jazz so much. Now improvisational trance - now that would be amazing.

Maybe we could redo a simple jazz standard with trance beats - and play it in a traditional jazz context. Theme - Improv - Individual indstrument solos - Theme - End. Now that would be jazz reborn. Theoretically it should work... haha
