Carvin uses a thin Polyurethane finish.
Polys are applied much thinner these days than in the past.

It'll take poly much much longer to yellow than nitro lacquer.
Is less prone to checking.
Will not get sticky feeling after 5 mins of play.

Oh, and I believe the fretboard radius is 14" now.
Neck profile is C shaped.

that's right. And the finish is already looks kind of yellowed, because it's pearl white. It reflects back blues too in the light.
