Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

Your tokai is pretty much my dream guitar :( Love that Tele too!

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

You have some very cool pieces, and they're very nice looking to boot. Great photography as well.

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

Usually when people post their guitar collections, I always see one or two pieces that I have zero interest in. That is definitely not the case here. I love them all!

My favorite (and this was a difficult choice, since they're all so nice) is the Warmoth rear-routed Strat. That is exactly the type of flametop I like - a subtle tiger stripe. I am thinking of doing something very similar to that guitar, except it would be HSH and have an unfinished solid pau ferro neck.

Can I ask what the specs on that Warmoth Strat are?

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

Loved the Warmoth Tele. Loved the Love Rock DC. Loved the SA2200.

Great pics, too!

If I miss something, then my apologies.

The body is a hollow swamp ash job with a maple cap. The neck is a 'Clapton' profile Warmoth Pro maple/rosewood, with the 10-16" radius compound fingerboard. LSR nut, Planet Waves tuners & Wilkinson VS100 bridge. It has a trembucker version of the C5 at the bridge, with a Jazz SH2n up top, all wired through a 3-way blade switch, and coil-tapped via a push-push tone pot. The finish is the Warmoth black/red/yellow burst.

Think I got it all...

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

Very nice collection of stuff indeed. I own a couple of Yamaha's and I'm becoming a fan of that brand of guitars. They aren't all incredible, but there are many gems in the yamaha lineup.

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

I like that shiny PRS. Love those birds; I wish my gibson had 'em too!

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

Wow, that's a great collection!

I loved the PRS's finish plus, there's something of a headturner about that SE too!
The Love Rock was absolutely stunning and the Warmoth Strat, oh man I just GOTTA get me one of those!!!

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

A very tasty collection - the MSG is my favourite, closely followed by the SA2200

Nice. Very nice. Your finish choice works very well with that wood, and I like your pickup choices too.

I bet it's quite a light guitar with the hollow option. Do you find that it balances well while you're playing? I would be concerned that a chambered Strat would be a bit neck heavy.

Sorry for all the questions, but this really does help me with my project idea.

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

It is slightly body light and although the neck does tend to dip a little, I've found that a good wide strap with a suede lining stops it wandering off, to the point where I really don't think about it.

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)

Loved the collection and the photos. That custom 22 just has a glow of class about it and I still think that warmoth tele is my favorite look for a tele to have. I do apologize, but if I get around to assembling another tele, it's likely I'll be stealing lots of ideas from that one.

Re: The Entire Collection (with pics)
