the Epi Tak Matsmoto Les Paul

I posted about this guitar in the Epi vs. Gibson Les Paul thead. I played one a couple of months ago and it was better than any Gibby Les Paul I've pulled off the Guitar Center wall in quite some time. I love the look. Just goes to prove Epi can make a decent if not superior Les Paul. I'm not sure but I think these things are made in Japan.

Tak Matsumoto is the Japanese Van Halen btw.

Well I did some research on the thing and it turns out it's more Les Paul than a lot of the stuff coming out of Nashville. The feature list is very impressive. It looks like the top is not a veneer and the body is two piece mahogany. The neck is mahogany too. It also has the Burstbuckers which are pretty nice pickups. The only difference between the pic and the description is that the top doesn't look bookmatched.
