I remember when the FS first came out. Howard Leese, also of Heart, and Viv were both mentioned in the promo stuff. "A Blazing Expressive Sound". Still one of my favorites. ;)

Anyways...really cool interview. She doesn't seem like the type to play a pickup like that, but on the other hand, I could see how she was starting to want a heavier tone with Heart.

Really cool interview. Seymour is sitting there with thousands of dollars worth of memorabilia. Without him and DiMarzio, I'd still be playing thru Gibson T-tops. Too cool...

Let's see. Would I rather sit around with Jeff Beck or Nancy Wilson....

Why was such a badass electric guitar pickup made for a chick who plays acoustic guitar?

I figure she asked him for a cross between a Super distortion and a PAF that had a lot of clarity and crunch with high distortion. Something thick with presence. She probably had her way with Seymour. ;)
