nice.... over in the UK i got to hold one of Jeffs Esquires from the Yardbirds Days.... The hard Rock guy told me that Jeff had 3 of them in the Yardbirds.. The thing that really sticks out in my mind with that early Esquire was the neck pocket looked like it was craved out with a chissell....

Funny how Jeff bought his original for $60.00 and now Fender has the replica listed at Musician's Friend for $15,000 and on sale for $10,499.99......

They have one at my local Fender dealer. looks great at about 10 paces. Same with the Gallagher model. The Blackie replica is the most authentic I've seen sofar, and the only one that's close to being able to fool anyone.

I love that guitar. I have played it several times at a local boutique shop. That is the guitar that has made me want a a Tele with an arm cut.

Abigail Ybarra, I see! I was wondering why that she mentioned. I retract my initial reaction. That be a fitting pickup in that there tribute guitar! I truely hope she likes guitar music. Imagine turning on any radio and legitimately wondering if thats your pickup singing. For like 50 years solid!

She probably like classical music though.....

It has both the forearm contour and the gut cut on the back, just like a Strat.

I think it's kinda cool myself but I wouldn't buy one. It's another one of those "for collectors" deals.

I think if you read further on the Fender website, it says that Seymour was involved in helping them spec it out.

You've got a tele and I'm sure you have access to sandpaper. ;)

It looks cool... I can appreciate the relic jobs done by the Fender custom shop, but even if I had the money to buy one I'm not sure that this kind of thing interests me as a guitar player. Then again, I don't think these are being made for players.
