I find the JD a little more vocal, due to its EQ, even though on paper, the TB has a little more resistance.
The JD would make a great strat bridge pickup, IMO. I know the TB is similar, and the guitars make for part of the difference, so I guess I should say, if you could get the same tone as a JD in a strat package, that would be terrific.

when I first came on the forum, I felt a strat or tele pickup should be Alnico 5, like the old Fender pickups, but I've changed my mind. The Alnico 2 pickups I've tried have all sounded great - that included the APSs, JD, Antiquity for strat and tele, and Seths - and I like the less string pull/ more sustain aspect.
