Y'know ..I've been thinking, it's not the thickness as much as the shape of a neck that makes it play fast.. While this neck is a bit more substantial than my Ibanez RG's. It's actually quite flat at the back (D shaped) and that's probably what makes it so nice & shreddy :bigthumb:

Plasticky or not, the more I play them the more I like them :bigthumb:

Slower track with the neck pup ..first the "hot rodded" voicing , then the "single coil"...

And the same thing with the bridge pup ...used my Laney IRT 120 head vs. my modeler up there ^^ (Mooer GE300 - AMT Stonehead "Tone Capture" profile)

Neoclassical ballad w/ this one...tho I threw in a bit of shred as well cuz otherwise it gets boring :D

What sometimes comes across as simple self-indulgence is actually guitar science and experimentation for the greater good (how different guitars and pickups sound w/ different shreddy/non-shreddy/semi-shreddy tunes) ...so ..completely selfless :bigthumb:

Bridge pup w/ the "Hot-rodded" voice..

Bridge pup with the PAF voice...

More classical than metal 'cuz no drums (I'm always experimenting selflessly for the greater good :bigthumb:)
