looking at open C for one of my Fenders like Mick Ralphs uses and you have to set up a seperate guitar with different string gauges to do it......seems kinda silly for only one or two tunes and If i want a seperate open tuned guitar, it will be for slide.

A piezo is a crystal that converts vibration to electrical impulses, and vice-versa. (The basis for piezo tweeters.) Usually, they mount with glue, or some sort of "sticky" to the bottom of the bridge. They go out to a standard 1/4" jack, but I think that most require a preamp of some sort.

Don't forget that D-Tar makes some killer piezo's too. ;)
