OMG, I must have this one! It's soooooo pretty!

It has a mahogany body with an arched blue flame maple top and a fixed bridge! :arms:

Too bad that it lists for:$1929.99 :smack: For that kind of money I still rather buy a Gibson...
Let's hope they make some non prestige models in the future.

I much rather have SZ series. I'm not into the sharp type stuff and for that price you can get something that looks a lot better.

Ibanez finally woke up and realized it's not 1980 anymore. Good for them. I like their new models. I've always been an Ibby fan

The colour looks great but I really doubt I'd ever buy one, that price bracket has a ton of good guitars in it and that doesn't jump out at me as being above the rest...

I saw a LOT of real classy looking RG's at NAMM... all below 2000 too! I've also noticed that more of their guitars under $700 have the Edge bridges now. I guess Ibanez finally realized that Lo-TRSII's SUCK!!

I saw a LOT of real cassy looking RG's at NAMM... all below 2000 too! I've also noticed that more of their guitars under $700 have the Edge bridges now. I guess Ibanez finally realized that Lo-TRSII's SUCK!!

wouldnt hurt if they slapped ORIGINAL!! floyds on thier high end models.. not putting the edges on everyfrickin thing... you'd figure the chrome boy series would get some schaler love.. but NOOOO .. edge trem >.<

i was in one of the higher-end shops in england (soho soundhouse) on saturday, and i'm still disgusted at seeing a £2000 jackson with duncan designeds in it...

IMO the Edge stuff is just as good as OFR. Different tone and feel but very good. If you don't believe me go try out a JS1000 or a JEM7V.

A friend of mine has a RG320QM and I was very impressed with the quality of the guitar!!! The fret job on it was really good, the action was low with out buzzes, and the factory pickups were halfway decent. The guitar also had 5 way switching with the two buckers and all 5 positions were very useful. I say, it is a very good guitar for the money!!! Go for it!!

does that RG use the similiar Gibraltar fixed-bridge they use in the SZ? i've tried out the SZ 520 and its really something. I'm a big fan of fixed-bridges.

it's similar, but not the same. I think this one is recessed into the body for one.

2k is kinda steep, but it's still a prestige carved top - it must be msrp - I wonder what street will be?

I have an RG320QM and thought the same. I think my ideal guitar would be a prestige hardtail version of that guitar...

i got an orignal floyed on my £500 mexican strat, i dont think its any better than the tremolo on my 94 jem other than the fact that i prefere the screw in tremolo arm.
