The new lady of the house

Re: The new lady of the house

LOL
Guessing the year would be kinda creepy.
I`m a creepy guy, i had it.

Take your time, no need to dress to sharp, it's a crappy ceremony, there's not even a reward.
Ok, then i won`t even shower :D

My cousin has one, but one year younger then yours, and dressed in white. Sounds killer, realy nice guitar.
Sorry Stevie, no magz next time ;)

Re: The new lady of the house

Told you once and I'll tell you again.

iHate you.

:P

Again, congrats.

hahahahahaha
Um dia deixo-te olhar para ela o tempo que quiseres, desde que não exceda os 10 minutos, só podes tocar nela se for com o Eko haha

I've just been looking through an old copy of Guitarist magazine, which is why I thought it was an Ibby, only to post on here and find I was beaten to the punch!!!!

Edit: I realised because you were keeping the headstock from us!

Good call on the headstock.
Showing even the back of it would be risky.

Showers are for the Oscars dude.
Here in Portugal they're not an easy find for a decent price.
But they're very nice, and I love on mine has aged.
Ths '70s were the days.

Re: The new lady of the house

Your's looks great. Always liked those so I got me one for my birthday in '87. Cost me $75 with a case. :cool2:

I've never been one for Gibson guitars but between these and Blues Fingers jay's guitars I've had some serious drool spill on my shirt. :D

Re: The new lady of the house

Woo-hoo!

I knew it. :)

Note: Despite the fact that those guitars are bolt-necks (which is weird for Gibson copies) they play and sound fantastic.

That's so cool!
Seems like we have twin guitars lol
A friend of mine has a pre lawsuit SG that's one heck of a guitar.
Joe Perry is so cool.
Does your Ibanez Goldtop sound extremely well unplugged to?
It's a great lazy night in the sofa guitar.

I would love this guitar dood.
The neck is not nearly as thick as a LP neck, very comfortable neck.
And mine isn't muddy at all, you'de love this believe me, play one if you have the chance.

That's awesome Jay! Very nice score!

Thanks bro :approve:

My thoughts exactly, I actually prefer it's a bolt on, I'm not a huge fan of set necks. No glue and I can remove the neck if I need.

Re: The new lady of the house

I have an old Dimarzio PAF in the bridge now and kept the super 70 in the neck slot. It has a great feel to it. Lightwieght and cool. Like you said sit on the couch and strum goodness.

Joe is a cool guy for sure. It had Brad Whitford's autograph too but it faded away. I met them in London as part of an Aerosmith fanclub trip in November of '89.

Super 70s sound great IMO.
Yes, it also sounds great on the my pignose, so no problem playing low volumes, it's going on vacation with me, a mini vacation rig

Sweet. Meeting Joe and Brad how cool is that?!

Ouch! You should try contacting Guiness book team cause that just might be the deal of the century :D

I always thought that LP`s must be setneck to sound good, but it was that ibby who told me I was wrong. Bolt on Artists from that time are also great sounding guitars. Friend of mine just sold 2 of them...it`s a shame.

Re: The new lady of the house

:) :) :) I got twenty bucks off cause it was my birthday and no tax cause I paid cash. :cool2:
Definintely one of my favorite deals I've ever gotten that's why I still have it twenty years later.

Life IS Good! :13:

Re: The new lady of the house

Lots of chewy lawsuit goodness in this thread :bigthumb:..congrats BFJ and BTMN...nice Ibbys :D

Re: The new lady of the house

Wow, you guys are crazy good with those guesses. It's like wine or cars! Kudos.

Nice guitar!

Re: The new lady of the house

I've been looking for a 70s Ibanez LP Custom for a while, but that is a thing of beauty dude! Love it.

Those are two fantastic guitars.

Re: The new lady of the house

Nice Gold top..... a friend of mine had an old Ibanez LP from the later 70's i think.... it was a red sunburst and the headstock was much different then these... the headstock on his had fancy scrolls to it.... any idea what year that Ibanez may of been????

saddly i tried to buy it and his brothers had a horrible jellous thing between them and each claimed part ownership to the axe and no one would sell it to me.... one big mess..... in the end the guitar was wrecked... saddly one of the brothers decided to turn every screw and take it all apart.... took the pickups apart, may of broken the truss rod.. a real mess
