So, if you take apart your amp and find a c0ckroach burned to the crisp somewhere along your preamp circuit, take him out. :)

No amount of tube swapping will cure it... :laugh2: :smack:   :chairfall

Scott's been sparkin' a spliff in the old amp shop, eh?

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

All my warped mind saw was ..."burnt.. roach", so it caught my attention...:smokin: :laugh2:

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

Nope, I gotta security clearance to think about....

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

How would a dead roach effect a circuit? I'm just curious....is it acting as a resistor across two points? .....allowing current to arc across it?

If so, I think we finally found a sure fire way to kill those bastids! LOL

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

That must mean that you're working on Hameyplyr's amp.......

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

Is that a new option, Papa Smurf? The Papa Roach Switch!:D

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

There are some things more important than pristine cleans. I say let the bastages burn.

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

That could inspire some creative names for the amp, I personally like the roach roaster or roach toaster.

The Exterminator :laugh2:
Only trouble is, with a name like that, people will probably expect a sick high gain monster amp :fingersx: . No, actually, that's no trouble at all. The more shocked they'll be to find out it isn't :)

Re: The Noisy Channel.... the real cause...

Do they taste like chicken? BBQ sauce would cover up the burnt taste pretty good.

Everyone knows that the dielectric constant of a roach is .001 and capacitor value is 0.0003 pF.

All I could think of was Plankton trying to sneak into the Krusty Krab looking for the Krabby Pattie recipe & getting fried & denied in his effort :laugh2:
