Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

for a fair used price

id have a hard time selling my martin d-15. if i returned the godin to stock (i have the parts), than a could prbly let it go rather easily, but id prbly regret that later...

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

Hard choice.

I'd probably never sell my PRS, but my ri strat and tele have a decent amount of sentimental value.

To be honest, if I kept one of those three I could carry on with life. Not that I'd admit that to my girlfriend...

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

It is difficult to say what you will sell and what you will not. You never know in the position you'll be at the moment of doing any selling or buying at least IMHO.

For me will be my Ludwig Super classic and classic custom kit. They stopped making the super classic series so I'll definitely will hold on to that. Other than that it has to be my Voodoo amps V-plex. It took me a lot of years, money and amps to realize that the sound I've always been attracted to has been a plexi. Guitars, unless it is a vintage type, or something that I've worked on (mods, upgrades, years) I'll keep.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

i'd have troubles parting with my MIM strat. It was my first real guitar and it has all ive been playing on for the last three years. It has been with me thorugh hgihs and lows and i will never get rid of it. Even if it probably will recieve less play as i get better guitars it will always be in my possesion.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

I will never sell my first guitar i ever owned, my japanese jackson ps2. Ill do a different paint job on it so it looks better than plain black but its one of the best guitars ive ever played to this day...and ive played a few. Plus its got a lot of sentimental value to it and history.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

my first guitar, an '82 'The Strat'...and my Digital Echoplex.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

I would sell every thing for the right price ....EXCEPT my FAMILY as joked about earlier.

Something I hold close to me is my Maton Mastersound with a sd jb in the bridge, its sounds awesome and was the first guitar i fell in love with. It puts **** on the top end maton electrics and in my opinon gives some LP's a run for their money. Its just a middle range guitar with history and character that i could never replace.

I dont think anyone would ever offer me money for it unless i got famous.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

I wouldn't sell my first guitar, and 1960s cutaway jazz style Arnold Floyer (german company). Got it from my parents when I was about 7 or 8

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

my first guitar. although i DID sell it. not worth having a cracked axe laying around. it went to a good cause though, it spread GAS to another person :laugh2:

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

I wouldn't sell my main peices but if someone held a gun to my head and asked me the question again I'd keep my '95 MIM Strat. I've modded the crap out of it and its my first electric guitar ever and its totally broken in all over and theres lotsa sentimental value in it.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

My Cort Strat. It was my first electric guitar, I bought it with my first paycheck from my first job. Even if I get to a point where I never play the thing, I'd never sell it.

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

Future is disposable...every gear has its value and they could be disposable for the right value of course...I had many quality instruments and although I love them very much I could sell them for the right value "in my mind"...that means I'll sell it if and only if I'm satisfied with the price other than the market value...Music styles could change and gears could also change accordingly...I used to have Marshall VS100 and IbanezRG570 for 6 years...I love the distortion sounds I get but now my music style changed and sold them for very good prices...VS100 for 450$ and RG570 for 800$ and now I own a 79'Fender Twin Reverb and 1999 USA Fender Strat...I also sold my oh-so beloved RP-6 processor and get Boss OD-1 and Line 6 DM-4...in my older setup the distortion sounds were very good...I didn't much use RP-6 apart from the effects...It was my first processor so I was happy at the moment:)but then it sounds fuzzy and digitized aka. digitech :)anyway I love my setup now getting fat&full tube OD tones, heavenly cleans but sometimes I miss the thrashy distortion tone I get with RG and VS100...

Re: The one piece of gear you would not sell?

I will never sell my '54 Tele, '66 Deluxe Reverb, '59 Deluxe, '59 Bassman or '51 Super/Dual Professional. They could never be replaced...unless I won the Lotto!
