it has a very nice balance of radical and traditional imo
yea, that's what i like about it. the metal pickguard really adds something.

i'll throw in some sweet budget/vintage guitars.

my personall fav. everything on there is so sweet.

and in a close second mainly because of the pickguard, but the body is sweet too. i tried one of these out and i instantly fell in love with them. a bit on the mushy side though

Well, a Strat was pretty radical when it first came out, does that count? :laugh2:

I was actually going to post a strat myself + a similar comment :chairfall

Re: the radical guitar thread

check this psychadelic strat out:

thought to be the only one in existence. it is owned by no other than pete townsend himself

Re: the radical guitar thread

People often think this is one of the most radical guitars they've seen. Suprisingly, it's the best sounding superstrat/floyd guitar I've played.

Re: the radical guitar thread

i would think that would be all screwed up in the operation category. looks really cool

Re: the radical guitar thread

I don't get too much into radical shapes, but I'm always looking for rare colors.
My Ebay searches are like 'metallic Fender' 'rare' 'anniversary' 'silverburst' 'discontinued'.

i forgot about the kent armostrong-type guitars. those are pretty sweet

my searches usually look like: "vintage tesico" "parts mustang" "teisco parts" "mustang body" "project guitar". since no on around here will build me one i'll have to buy parts and do it myself

I like the ash strat.

Here are some nice Warmoth bodies....

double korina

Koa Strat

Tribal VIP

Quilt Maple VW
i was gonna do the warmoth route (pun), but they just cost too much money. if all else fails i will. as that was my plan from the start. which is probably what i'll do. i love the wgd style (or whatever it's called).

that and they ruined the tripal vip. they covered up perfectly beautiful flame koa. it's a crying shame
