the radical guitar thread

i was gonna do the warmoth route (pun), but they just cost too much money. if all else fails i will. as that was my plan from the start. which is probably what i'll do. i love the wgd style (or whatever it's called).

Yeah that's a hard decision. Go with something exactly as you like it, or a production model off a showroom. It's a toss-up, as there are other guitars that I like that are production models, such as the Lite Ash Strat and Tele, the EC-400 ESP LTD, the Jackson Soloist SL1....

What is it?

EDIT: YES IT IS! :D

from what I've been told, and from all my woodworking experience, Korina is a finish ontop of Limba.

that might've taken it a bit over the edge. of course back in the day they called the fret over the edge and radical so who knows? they look cool, it'd just be like me trying to find an out of phase switch in the ****pit of a boeing 177.:laugh2: if i got the plane name right

Re: the radical guitar thread

well I'll be damned. My cousin has had the black one since I was a kid, and I never knew what it was. All I ever saw on it was "Goy". Awesome to know what it is. I'm gonna steal it.

Re: the radical guitar thread

...would you like to sell it after? :D

...and if he beats you up when you try to steal it, would he like to sell it?

Re: the radical guitar thread

It depends on how hard it is to steal it. I know he hates the thing. He learned 3 cowboy chords on it to show his dad (my uncle) that he was "serious" to make him buy him an excelent LP goldtop knockoff. Talking about getting my ass whooped, hahahahahaha. Sorry, the guys so small. But anyway, I might be interested in selling it.

Someone should tell Warmoth.com, they think they can make them out of solid Korina.

The headstock piece bothers me. Doesn't the low E look like it's got too much of an angle?

Re: the radical guitar thread

I'm sure it's hell to keep in tune. I'm more concerned about the strings brushing with the tuners. But that's half the fun :D

Looks cool as hell

Re: the radical guitar thread

wow the is THE WORST headstock as far as looks and function. there's no way that would stay in tune with me playing LOL. what a poor design and man is it UGLY!! even the strings are wound the wrong direction on it :smack:
