My bassman 2x12 up on top of my friend's 70's Sovtek cab loaded with WWII era Celestions. I can BARELY reach over the top to turn it on. This rig is... incredible.

I can also barely believe that my 2x12 stood vertically is as wide as the 4x12. The Sovtek may have an inch of width on the Fender, but nothing more.

EDIT: Damn, meant this to go in the amp room... whatever

There's actually an Orange AD30 (single channel) on the couch out of frame. Plus, my buddy (the guy that owns the Sovtek) is getting a Soldano Avenger. Pretty doom to me.

Yeah, I just rechecked my references. Bassmans and Marshalls Cabs and all that stacked at random is definitely Doom.Cheers!

I've wanted to take the back off that cabinet for a long time to see what's actually in there, but that's what he told me was in there when he checked it.

Re: The rig..........of DOOOOOOOOM

WW II was over by 1945 and Celestion wasn't making anything like a guitar speaker at that time so I can't imagine that WW II era Celestion speakers are worth talking about in terms of guitar speakers if you could even find any at this point.

Not to mention Mike Matthews didn't form Sovtek until fall of 1992 if memory serves.

Not trying to be a jerk, in fact I thought you were being funny with your post...

I understand - I haven't bothered to research this stuff because it's not my cab and I don't really care. I'm going to try to get a look at it sometime though, if for nothing else to help my friend figure out what he really has.
