The sound of live vs studio when micing, your thoughts...

What's your thoughts on this? I spent a lot of time with a flat EQ and an sm57 and EQ'ing the amp jussst right. Will I get the same desired effect life or does EQ change in a live setting when micing? What's your experience with this? I'm all ears to learn:smokin:

From what I understand more volume (most of the times) means that you need to lower your highs a little from your rehersal EQ.

different PA + different location = different tone
You'll probably have to readjust a little depending on venue, but the size of readjustment will depend on how big the differences really are. Shouldn't be too bad though in most cases.
Or just get a rig that won't need to be miced anymore(overkill!)

I tend to use more high end when live than when recording. Rooms full of warm bodies tend to soak up highs.
