The sound of the breed is beautiful

Re: The sound of the breed is beautiful

Are you referring to the Breed by DiMarzio?

I think your delay was a tiny bit out of time for day at the beach, but the sound is nice :)

I'm noticing now after recording it , i boosted the volume slightly, and i didnt realise when i uploaded it that the sound was clipping slightly :smack:
(i had my speakers on low volume last nite) :duh:

Herectic, i am indeed referring to the dimarzio breed (blasphemy on a duncan board i know lol) It is great, the recording still doesnt do it enough justice!

Thanks fretwire , its amazing how many people know of weiner!
(i cant pass it off as my own now :laugh2: )

Re: The sound of the breed is beautiful

The thing is, I have a Breed set on my guitar and they are my favorite pickups for overdiven/distorted sound but I find the clean sound to be muddy and bland. I usually need a middle single coil to blend on with them just to get some treble.

What guitar did you play on and what pickup position/s did you use?

Was that the bridge PU? Sounded like it to me.... Nice work. I have never tried the Breed but I generally rip out Evolutions within a week or so.

That was neck pick up , its so lovely sounding i can't get over it compared to the old ibanez one, its really tight for distortion too!

Maybe my rig is different and its why you get more mud? I know i have terrible amounts of mud with the hot rails in my strat? Or perhaps its down to the installation?! Never again will i trust a tech.. im not sure they know any more than the furus here!
