My amp sold within hours on Ebay. It was a Mesa Single Rectifier Series 1, and I had no footswitch, so I didn't expect the $800 Buy it Now so soon.
So now that it's actually go time I'm second guessing myself on what amp I should go for. I'm very indecisive.
Right now, for a Harder Rock, not really Metal amp, these are what I'm thinking:
Marshall JCM 800 4104 (2x12 Combo of the 2204, Single Channel 50w)
Orange Rocker 30 (Leaning away from this)
Marshall JCM 900 SLX Head
I know the 800 might need a boost but I'm fine with it. I'm kind of gassing to try out Xssive's Monroe Drive anyway. The 800 is the one i'm leaning towards lately. I've read everyone should own a JCM 800 atleast once in their lifetime. Also once I sell my Cab, I'll be A/Bing it with either a Vox Ac30CC or Fender Twin Reverb for cleans.
The 800 Option seems more sensible, I won't have to mess with all the cables of the Tonebone Headbone, and 2 2x12 combos is easier to fit in a car than a Halfstack.
I'm open to suggestions though, anything I haven't thought of. I don't want another Mesa as I'm really not into the low/low mids but more highs. Also I prefer an amp I can just set and be good, not one where I'm constantly messing with the Settings.
Thanks in Advance guys!
