Right now I live right outside Rockford, IL. So really I'm about 2 hours from the city at this point. But I lived within the city, or at least in one of the closer suburbs the majority of my life.
As far as venues...I don't know anymore. I've got a 6 year old daughter, So I don't really get to attend alot of of shows anymore. Its been awhile since I've seen any bands I've really loved. An I think my opinion of a venue is based largely on how good the bands I see there are. Ya know? Hard to love a venue if you only ever see ****ty bands.
That said...I have alot of good memories involving Metro. They're are such lame obvious places to mention, but its true. But most of that was way back in the late 90's/early 2000's, so I don't know how stuff is anymore.
