Q

Where are you / who are you with / what are you doing / what do you look like in:

I've always thought things like this are totally bogus because your life can do a complete 180 in less than a day so speculating multiple years in advance is a bit pointless and really just setting yourself up for disappointment but i'll bite.

5 years: Done with frickin school, shop is running itself, ho's won't stop blowin up my phone; who the hell do they think i am?

10 years: Record label is successful, so are my chains in L.A., NYC and Boston. Music is getting better and better.

20 years: Multiplatinum king of music AND pornography; begin construction on my castle on the private island

30 years: Island fortress is more than complete; my evil plan is near fruition

50 years: Finally takes full political control of earth just moments before an asteroid the size of Russia splits the planet in two.

What's it like to be 22?

Frickin metal but about six years lamer than being 16 felt.

Favorite food: If money wasn't an issue I'd have the sexiest representative of every important cultural cuisine on 24/7 call...i.e. i want japanese, li'l Miko comes and turns on the hibachi...if I want lasagne, Rosita's already in the kitchen workin on it...something about exotic cultural food cooked by beautiful women is excellent.

Since money is an issue, Taco Bell.

Favorite band: That's like picking my favorite molecule of oxygen.

Your political views: **** YOU PAY ME

Your Religious views: See above

Your top ten people you'd like to meet in real life on the forum: I'd feel like a d-bag pickin just 10. When my shop is up and running we'll have bi-monthly SDUGF all-night jams.

Favorite quote: "Jesus wept." It's the shortest verse in the bible and I can't think of which one it is.

Also basically anything Master Shake has ever said ever. "YOU'RE being rude to ME! Don't chain me DOWN with your...MANNERS..."

Favorite video game of each era: 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit etc etc:
This one is hard because video games are a very important part of my life.

8: Gotta say Mario for opening / blowing my mind. I almost said Mega Man but Mario set me on my lifelong quest...kill the dragon, save the princess.

16: Chrono Trigger. Duh.

32: FF7...duh

64: Ocarina of Time...kill SEVERAL dragons, save a few princesses....

then i got my Dreamcast and became a professional Street Fighter player...I will seriously destroy all challengers now and forever, amen

my PS2 was fun, got to shoot lots of people via GTA and Black...but now i just emulate old games on my computer.

Favorite restaurant: The one i patronize the most is Taco Bell. I'm there so much they stopped charging me for soda.

Last meal: A large bowl of ice cream right around 5:30AM

Favorite book: 'The Dancing Wu-Li Masters'

Favorite coffee brand and roast type: Mountain Dew

Why are you so phucking arsome?

Years of practice and hard work.

How do you feel about treble-heavy guitar tones?

I actually used to prefer treble to lowend when i was playing more punk and ska...in those types of bands i was either just doing the barre chord upstroke thing or the DS-1 Green Day kinda thing and had a bassist tryin to impersonate Matt Freeman the whole time so my guitar was more aimed at the high / high mids.

Nowadays i just think it sounds and feels better to have more lowend than treble. I think it's because I saw the Queers play live and dude had two JCM900 half stacks with the treble dimed the whole time, playin a **** Strat on the bridge pickup, and my hearing has been damaged ever since.

Favorite sport.(If applicable.)

Pornography.

Early Beatles, middle Beatles, or late Beatles?

They're the only rock-n-roll band i know of that actually got better with age.

Re: The Well LXXXV (i guess?): How to Rock featuring Xee F. Face

Are you in a gigging band or hobby?

I haven't gigged in a long time. I have a hard time finding musicians who want to make music that I like. Everybody my age is either stuck on Nirvana, Korn, or screamoXcore with no apparent desire to do anything creative or new. Awesome!

Favorite Beer?

The one that I'm drinking.

Fender or Gibson?

Different tools for different jobs.

Tube or Solid State?

I don't know a single guitarist who actually PREFERS solid state amps. That's just silly. Leave the car stereo technology in the frickin car stereos.

Blondes Brunettes or Red Heads?

Sure but give me some asians and a black girl too please.

Re: The Well LXXXV (i guess?): How to Rock featuring Xee F. Face

Name the best punk show/gig you been to and why?

Re: The Well LXXXV (i guess?): How to Rock featuring Xee F. Face

I like solid state amps.

Yeah but I have a feeling if money wasn't an option and you had your choice of any number of different amplifiers, you would never settle for a solidstate amp. Any tones they're capable of, some tube amp somewhere does better.

Name the best punk show/gig you been to and why?
Leftover Crack. The best band ever, tons of energy, i was there with my best friends and i met the whole band after the show.

Eerily, the only dude in the band i didn't talk to after the show was the drummer who overdosed and died like three nights later.

Re: The Well LXXXV (i guess?): How to Rock featuring Xee F. Face

favorite guitar? why?

favorite fender? why?

stratocaster or les paul? pick one.

Marshall or Fender Bassman?

why the hell would anyone like solid state amps?!

Re: The Well LXXXV (i guess?): How to Rock featuring Xee F. Face

Have you got my money order yet? :)

Yep. Will ship the pickup out tomorrow buddy :smokin:

Exactly how Rock n Roll are you? 1% 2% 5% 50% 100%...

666%

Favorite strings and picks? why?

I've been using D'Addario strings and Dunlop picks...both companies basically make everything you'd want out of their 'areas of specialty'...seems like every time i try a new Dunlop pick it's cool and useful in a different way.

favorite guitar? why?

1956 Gibson Les Paul Custom. You tell me why:
1956_LP_Custom01.jpg

favorite fender? why?

My Strat cuz it's mine...

stratocaster or les paul? pick one.

Les Paul. Strat's more versatile in it's stock form sure but...a Paul with the Jimmy Page mod is way more useful to me.

Marshall or Fender Bassman?

My Bassman.

why the hell would anyone like solid state amps?!

To try and sound like Greg Ginn or Dimebag Darrel or Wayne Static somebody else with intentionally-bad tone. Also if they don't think sounding good is worth the cost of tube replacement.

favorite song?

Can't pick one...way too much good music happening...lately i've been into "Writhe" by Kyuss and the typical handful of gangsta rap songs...that new joint with Li'l Wayne and Gucci Mane is insane. "Red on the beat, **** around and leave a nilla's brains in the streets ooooh"

favorite band?

See above...I'd have to give you a list of like 15 candidates.

favorite teenage experience?

I set my girlfriend's head on fire just moments before losing my virginity.

Does my Jaguar HH sound and look as badass as i think it does?

Those are cool guitars to be certain...it's what i think Kurt Cobain's signature guitar would've been if that guy wasn't so, y'know, constantly shooting heroin.

Tell us about your signature model.

Been kickin around some ideas with my buddy Wendell from J. Nunis guitars to get an SG specifically designed for low tunings built...not a baritone-scale or anything, just a reinforced neck so i can use .13-.68's on it without feeling like the neck is gonna warp...

So y'know...five-piece black limba neck with walnut or maple or possibly ebony skunk stripes....neck-thru construction...black limba body...string-thru body, tune-o-matic bridge...probably P-Rails...

The most distinctive thing about it is it's gonna be a left-handed SG body, strung up righty...so the slightly longer horn is on the bottom. Doesn't sound like a big deal but it looks really frickin cool. Probably do a purple stain finish on that one...

Re: The Well LXXXV (i guess?): How to Rock featuring Xee F. Face

Whats a good way to EQ my band?

im going with the mids on 5 and my lead player has em on 10.

Do you believe any modern "emo" bands are actually comprised of good musicians that just play trendy music?
