so, this week Mr/Mrs Sammler handed the Well off to me. So a little about me to get the ball rolling:

I am in actuality a 16 year old person in Portland, OR. I done a bit of posting around here in my short time of being here. Where the Well Goes now, who knows.

So Bring it on.:firing:
It's only a matter of time now.:banned:

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

So. You're sixteen. How long have you been playing?

What was your first guitar?

What's you're main guitar now?

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

A: Aboot 2 years. Got started late unfortunately. Halfway through middle school I had a bit of what they call a "breakdown" from stress of moving, losing granparents, etc, etc, culminating in a few fights and such. After a year of therapy, I was in Las Vegas for spring break 2007 and I saw the Beatles' "Love" Cirque Du Soleil performance. Outside the gift shop was Paul McCartney's Höfner Violin bass. I was sold from then on.

B: When I got back I convinced my parents to get their son a guitar. They got me a Fender Acoustic, a cheap one w/ 13 gauge strings an all. Man was that first month (or two) painful on the fingers. After a while I finally got accustomed to guitar playing and really took off there.

C: My main guitar now is of course, the Fender 04 H/H strat in my profile Pic.
Alnico II pro neck/Pearly Gates (A2) bridge. Oh yes.

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

Favorite "tourist" spot near you and favorite "non-tourist" spot.

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

Hmm... Portland really isn't that kinda place...

Probably Crater Lake Nat'l Park. Such a great place.

B: Goodwill Supercenter across the river. Always something cool there.

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

Where do you shop for guitfiddles and such?

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

Favorite Johnny Cash song?

Favorite Johnny Cash movie?

Single? Passing notes? Boning your best friends sister?

I recently read an article about Portland blowing chunks in the job market. Have things picked up any?

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

TO Mrs Sammler,
I play guitars at Guitar Center cause they're all zen, but I shop mostly at Apple Music Row, on 1st and Oak. I can take the light rail from my high school to right infront of the shop. oh yes.

TO LesStrat,
Semi-Old Roland Cube 60 at house. Actually has some fun onboard effects. Distortion channel leaves some to be desired, but hey.

At my school I use a Vox AC30 for Jazz Band. Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes.

TO Old Man Beandip,

I'd say I can't think of one song but a few:
Flesh and Blood, Sam Hall (American IV), I Still Miss Someone, Unchained

I liked Walk the Line a bit, but I also have Johnny Cash: The Man, His World, His Music. It's a DVD Documentary of his travels and performances. And I have the best of the Johnny Cash show. Did you know Derek an the Dominoes made it there once? The CD has some great performances, he really did a good job pulling out the best in American Music.

I wish, cause I have a friend who has a pretty hot sister.

And the reason the Jobless percentage went down is because people just gave up searching and moved out to different things. I sincerely doubt that the city is hiring too many more people.

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

What's your least-favorite guitar body style, and why?

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

I think he's quite the odd character. And I think he's not the guy who should get involved in any kind of political situation, cause he hardly knows what's going on anyways.

TO Mr. Sammler,
I really can't stand most metal guitars, with the spike crap and the "badass" factor. Really Kerry King, it's badass? Cause all I see is a ****** holding a spiky stick and smashing it until it falls apart. The Dimebag Darrell Abbot guitars, superspiked V's, anything BC RIch, those things.

Yuck.

Well I'm not gonna stop you from using them, but they're definitely not my cup of tea. I like guitars that look good in Jazz, Blues and Rock settings. Like my strat :).

Re: The Well LXXXVII: Welcome to the Fun House

It's ultimatum time:

Let's say you are presented with the following two options. Which do you choose?

1.) Playing only an acoustic guitar the rest of your life.

OR

2.) Playing only the electric guitar of your choice, but it has to be Barbie pink, covered in My Lil' Pony stickers, with a Paul Gilbert-style fringe made out of tampon strings.

What's one question that you wish someone would ask you?
