I've finally been granted permission to host the well. Finally we will clear up all the misconceptions you have about Ibanezrocks.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

Hallelujah!

Okay. Your name vs. your avatar. I dare say that most Ibanez fans have more than one. What are your intentions involving the brand?

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

Well I had this same name on a previous forum. At the time I joined that my only electric guitar was my first electric, a cheap Ibanez RG. When I joined on here my only electric was my current Ibanez so it made sense. I really can't say I'm anymore of an Ibanez fan than a Gibson fan though. I enjoy most guitars.

As for my intentions for future purchases I'm currently spending quite a bit of time online between studying throughout my final year of university, looking at guitars that I might get once I graduate. I really like the look of the new Ibanez FR, it reminds me of an updated Telecaster - some of the same vibe, but more ergonomic and obviously with humbuckers. I wouldn't say for sure that'll be what I'll get next though, I also have my eye on some Carvins and I think Gibson is always in the running.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

What do you think of the high-end Ibanez, Japanese, Prestige, JEM, etc?

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

Do you expect to be sued by beandip for copyright infringement, re: your thread title?

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

The high-end Ibanez are awesome guitars unfortunately there aren't nearly enough without trems and that kills it for me. I never use a trem and doing any setup work takes a lot longer with one.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

I'm not sure how a beandip relates to a bean burrito. I think its obvious that a burrito is better than a dip. A burrito is food, a dip is just an accessory to food.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

I got a question that FEW on this forum (maybe Mr. Sammler) will understand fully:

Tube sock, heel cut (jock sock) or no sock at all?
And if sock, what color.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

It's a pretty sparsely populated city, a population of ~600 000 spread out quite a bit. Urban sprawl has left the downtown a dump and all the development occurs only around the edges of the city. The roads are pretty horrible due to a combination of our winters and mismanagement of construction. I've heard that 50 years ago it was a quickly growing city, one of the largest in Canada and people expected the city would quickly outgrow the perimeter highway (literally just a highway that encompasses the city in a circle) which has yet to happen. The city was planned pretty horribly in terms of railroads going through major traffic routes and just the layout of streets in general. The perfect example of this is what's well known as Confusion Corner:
Confusion%20Corner%20-%20Winnipeg%20Manitoba.jpg

I should point out that loop in the picture doesn't indicate a cloverleaf or anything like that, this is all on one level and there are lights at all of those street crossings. There is also one street crossing missing for some reason. The exception to the poor planning remark would be the perimeter highway since it is pretty convenient, and the floodway - a massive ditch around the east side of the city that has now saved the city from disaster a couple of times.

We had an NHL team up until about 13 years ago, since then not a lot has happened. A few years ago I was in Mexico for vacation and when we figured out almost everyone at our resort was also from Winnipeg we got the whole place yelling "Go Jets Go". It was quite a scene. Hockey is definitely a big deal here, when I was in junior high during the winter olympics we all got out of class to watch the game on tv's set up around the school.

Weather wise I should add that there's usually snow for about 5 months although its only really cold for about 3 months. Usually in January there's a few weeks where it'll hover around -40. Interestingly enough its now almost the end of November, there's no snow and I have yet to even wear a jacket. I have no idea what's going on this year.

El CHupacabra I decline to answer your question, I can only assume its something perverted. Thank you for your understanding.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

OH come off it, it's nothing like that. But whatever, if you insist...

You can only use one guitar for the rest of your life (and afterlife, if you so choose).
What would it be.

Don't worry; it's just a pop-psychology exercise. It was either harmless, or it was successful in convincing me that it was harmless. And remember... I'm as pure as the driven snow.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

One guitar for the rest of my life: probably my SG

If I could pick a guitar I don't have I'd probably go with some form of a hardtail superstrat, since they're really the most versatile guitars for me. I don't play out at all right now, but when I do I'd want something a little tougher than an SG.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

I wanted to learn how to play Nirvana songs. When I told my guitar teacher this he laughed at me a little bit and told me I'd learn them within the month. I think I learned one or two and then didn't really want to learn the others since I very quickly got obsessed with Hendrix instead. I started playing when I was 13.

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

^ ah, that time. Not too late, but you have to be a certain age, I think, to really appreciate the instrument and such. I don't think too many 5 year olds can grasp that, but new question:

What is your name?
What is your quest?
What is your favorite color?

Re: The Well LXXXVIII: Bean Burrito

ibanezrocks,
