Cool q's..

At the Moment I'm a 1st Year Electronics Engineering student in Institute of Technology Carlow in Ireland, Really great and Interesting course, and I can see myself doing something like this for a living.

As far as a job goes, all my income (read Drink money) comes from playing Bar Gigs part time. The Band is called "Blackwater", We're a Cover band, doing covers from 60's right the way up to modern "Crowd Pleasing" songs you'd hear on the radio.
So I guess my job and Music in my life fall together. :bandit:

You have such a great name. What was it that led to your parents naming you after me?

Aha! My long lost twin brutha!

I managed to survive 8 years of military service without developing a taste for coffee OR beer.

Whatever happened to Sinead O'Conner? Did she get run over by a Popemobile or something?

I never got the hype about Coffee, Or tea for that matter.

Only god knows what she's doing at the moment :laugh2:

How's it going today?

26th April 2008 15:43

Today in Ireland

Outbreaks of rain or drizzle will continue to affect parts of the east and southeast this evening. Elsewhere it will be dry and bright.

Tonight

Dry in most areas overnight, with clear spells, though a few showers will affect western coastal areas later. Some mist and fog patches will develop inland and it will become cool with lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees.

Brief/detailed (your choice) history of listening preferences, gear preferences, and anything you've noticed technique-wise, along the way?

The first CD i bought that I actually liked most of/all of the songs on it was "Take of your pants and jacket" by none other then Blink-182 believe it or not!
It was the first time I heard music that wasn't any form of RnB or Rap which seemed to be popular at the time, Just wasn't/Isn't my thing.
It was really that CD that got me into wanting to play guitar, and strangely enough the day I got that CD was September 11th 2001.

Since then i've been listening to all Kids of music Bar most Rap and Rnb till I discovered Van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan, 2 of my all time favorite Guitarists, and Van Halen being probably my favorite Band.

As far as gear preferences go, I've always being partial to the Marshall sound, and as you can see from my Sig I've owned The Marshall DSL, Peavey Wolfgang and Strat for over 2 years and still love that rig!

Hmm , What i've noticed technique-wise,
For me I love to play some kind of mix of Van Halen And Stevie ray, both guitarists for me are the Greatest to ever grace the planet IMO. Players like Vai IMO are just too Good, Too well rehearsed technique-wise, I like the bit of 'sloppiness' (compared to vai) that van halen and Stevie brought.

Hope that answered your question somewhat :bandit: :bandit: :bandit: :bandit:
