DiMarzio Factory: Yes... did NOT like it... felt sterile, overly computerized, and I was being pushed samples of things even after politely turning down samples.

Music tastes: everything from mozart to motorhead to zappa to beefheart to crimson to ballet mecanique to random noise... I do find something oddly enjoyable about listening to TV static sometimes...

Best pizza: Mari Nara in Hewlett, NY has AMAZING pizza IMHO

How's the band scene in the city?

A good friend, and former band mate lives in the Bronx (works for Caroline Records/EMI). He has had a pretty good ride band-wise there, including some tours to Europe. He's been playing bass for the garage punk scene.

I've lived in some larger US cities, but never NYC. I have a feeling that will be one of those little regrets!

Agreed. Chi-town can boast about the deep-dish, deservedly so. However, anyone who can get to a hot, fresh neapolitan or sicilian pizza from NYC will understand our pride.

Haven't had a decent slice since I got to Kentucky. Neither of the "authentic NY-style pizzerias" here know what a sicilian is.

EVER: i had a 2006 Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster, and a Marshall TSL602... both of them met untimely deaths at the hands of my ex.

Currently: The strat that is getting stupid amounts of mods in it... (the only piece left after my ex either broke or sold everything else I had.... thief she was)

NYC band scene: dunno... I'm not in any bands right now. NYC has a lot of mojo, aura, history, etc. However, as I'm not really in a band right now... I can't say what it's like. I also don't like to frequent clubs often because I get panic attacks in large crowded areas...

I dumped her Dec 28, 2006... she re-married some RE / Lawyer dude in ithaca, and apparently she's been giving him hell ever since.

In 2003, instead of going to the prom (I found it overrated and I'm a :wall: type of person), I got to see neil young from backstage. My dad was a cab-driver at the time, and he took one of neil's road crew to the show. The roadie couldn't pay, so he offered my dad and I backstage passes. I went to the afterprom party with the backstage passes, ripped jeans, bloody ears, and found out I hadn't missed a thing. Best, Concert, EVER!
