Thanks to Erik H for nominating me... I gladly accept!

Let's get this week-long party started! Ask me anything... nothing is off limits!

Cool B!

Who would win a chick fight in their prime? Courtney Love, or Pink?

Re: The Well XLVI: Return of the Chrome Dome

If you could put together your ultimate band, with you as one of the guitar players, who would the other members be? They could all be famous musicians, not famous, or a mix.

Who's the one player that made you want to pick up the guitar?

Re: The Well XLVI: Return of the Chrome Dome

Is there any one song that gives you the 'instant cringe' reaction - the kind where you can't hit the radio dial fast enough?

You're playing a pretty important gig, and right before your trademark solo, you break your high-E-string. What happens next?

Pink is probably in better shape physically and mentally... but it would depend on how Courtney's doing that day. Depending on the amount of illicit substances in her system, she could be a drug-fueled, psychopathic, tornado-like killing machine or an incoherent puddle of protoplasm. Plus her guitars could be used as weapons. She's volatile and unpredictable which makes her much more dangerous. Courtney wins.

Based on my current musical aspirations:

Carter Beauford - Drums
Jordan Rudess - Keys
Justin Chancellor - Bass
Jeff Dunne a.k.a Virtual Kevorkian - 2nd quitar
Vox - Devin Townsend

Who's the one player that made you want to pick up the guitar?

The one who originally made me go "I want to do THAT" was Chuck Berry by way of Marty McFly in Back To The Future. No joke.

Most current mass-produced rap and R&B will make me do this, as will any song by New Found Glory or Good Charlotte. Any Boy/Girl group stuff. I can't really think of one particular song that will instantly make my butt pucker up because there's a lot of 'em that do that. :laugh2:

Oh God... what a nightmare. Several options come to mind... Knowing me I'd probably just improvise and roll with it and do the best I can. Or I could cue the bass player or drummer to take a solo while I switch guitars. Or I could do a simple Irish jig. Or I could...

Coolness.

Do you think that people from other worlds have visited Earth? If so, do you think they are interplanetary in origin, or interdimensional beings?

LMFAO @ the pic... that was a great episode.

Do you think that people from other worlds have visited Earth?

I don't have a strong opinion about it one way or the other. Maybe? I dunno. It wouldn't surprise me if we were being "observed", though. I think a good portion, if not all, UFO sightings are probably experimental aircraft, weather phenomena, meteors, etc.

If so, do you think they interplanetary, or interdimensional beings?

There is more to this universe than science will ever explain... anything's possible.

What (if any) non rock/pop music do you listen to?

If you could have a lesson with any guitar player who would it be and what would you focus on?

Oh man... I listen to so much different stuff. Kind of a bad question actually, but only in the sense that it's difficult to answer.

Among the 'unusual suspects' are Bobby McFerrin, Arvo Part, Christopher Parkening, Philip Glass, Morten Lauridsen, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Handel, Chopin, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Squarepusher, The Crystal Method... I listen to a lot of oldies too.

Tommy Emmanuel or Eric Johnson, and I'd focus on chord melody and fingerpicking.

Re: The Well XLVI: Return of the Chrome Dome

When are you getting married? It seems as I recall you saying that you are engaged.

Re: The Well XLVI: Return of the Chrome Dome

If you were to choose any instrument other than guitar to play, what would it be?

Re: The Well XLVI: Return of the Chrome Dome

what do you think the likelihood is that you would ever leave CA to permanently reside in another state?
if you would, what reason(s) would be the most likely to precipitate such a move?
where would you most likely move?

Re: The Well XLVI: Return of the Chrome Dome

Philip Glass
You might also check out John Adams. I like his stuff too and it's also in the minimalist genre.

Herbie Hancock
How do you like the "Possibilities" album? I really dig most of the stuff on there. And the one with Annie Lennox is the saddest song I've ever heard.
