What do you think of NZ's fourth most popular folk parody band, Flight of the Conchords?
if you were ever visiting the U.S. and you could only go to 3 places...where would they be and why?
if i were ever visiting New Zealand and could only go to 3 places...where should i go and why?
Manchester United suck.
Just thought I would throw that one out there.
That said, if Liverpool and Cheltenham Town were ever to meet... you'd be going down!
Stranger things have happened, ie: Barnsley in the FA cup.
Favourite alcoholic beverage?
I'm a tequila drinker, if given the preference (and the tequila quilty is decent. Not of fan of syrupy, cheap tequila).
Spring, summer, autumn or winter?
Summer, because it doesn't take me half a day to warm up my hands to the point where I can play guitar.
Day or night?
No real preference, but I'm a bit of a night owl.
Cats or Dogs?
I like both, but I own a cat. Or does he own me?
Plus Sly gets points for having a pitbull that killed and then screwed his pet monkey. Now THAT'S rock'n'roll.
All right ... time for more musical showdown.
1.) Gladys Knight and the Pips vs. Martha Reeves and the Vandellas
2.) Gladys Knight vs. Aretha Franklin
3.) Otis Redding vs. Marvin Gaye
4.) Stevie Wonder vs. Jackson 5
5.) The Temptations vs. The Drifters
6.) Family Stone vs. Earth, Wind and Fire
7.) Manowar vs. Europe (cheese factor)
New York would have to be one place.
I'd also visit Atlanta, Ga. My very good friend Damon lives there, and it'd be great to hang out with him on his patch. We see each other every other year on average, and there's always a fantastic piss-up as part of the process.
The third, I'm not sure about. It'd be cool to go to Austin, Texas and play SXSW. I'd also love to do some serious amp trying, and I'm thinking Gearjoneser country would be ideal for that. Plus I could go visit the 65 amps dudes.
But one by-product of being on this forum is that I'd love to see much more of the states than just those places...
For places to visit in NZ (excluding ones previously mentioned):
The Remarkables, Queenstown:

Abel Tasman Nat'l park:

Milford sound (haven't been there yet myself):

I don't believe I've ever heard that story!
Would you share with the rest of the class?
Still taking questions?
If so, what type of strings and picks do you use? Do you stick with the Reverend's stock pickups? Low, medium, high action? Sorry, I'm in a techie mood![]()
so how long does the well last these days?
