How is Pete using these Hiwatt amps?

He's playing a Les Paul Deluxe.
The bridge pickup is weak.

With that, he goes from delicate strumming, to absolute fury in a heartbeheartbeat.
Does anyone know?

Says right on the site, it was used as a boost for leads. Just wouldn't have been fuzzy, all distortion would have come from the amp. That was 1981 and they were playing a much different set list by then.
